What is Accedo’s recruitment process?
This will vary depending on the type of role you are applying for. We will be able to advise you as soon as you’re shortlisted.
How do I apply?
Just visit our ‘Working at Accedo’ page, and follow the instructions there.
Do I need a qualification to be a Care Worker at Accedo?
The minimum requirement for our Care Worker role is to have at least an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. However equivalent qualifications are accepted; such as psychology, counselling etc.
Sometimes there will be age restrictions, why is this?
For some roles we are obliged by regulations only to employ people over a certain age (this can be 18 or 21 years, depending on the role).
What documentation should I bring to interview?
You will be required to bring evidence of your right to work in the UK, proof of qualifications, and original documentation to support your DBS application. However all of these details will be explained in your interview invitation letter, should you receive one.
Why do I need to have a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check?
The majority of our roles require a DBS check, if you are required to work with vulnerable adults. A DBS check will identify any previous convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings. This can take anywhere between 3-4 weeks on average, sometimes longer.
Will I receive feedback if I am not successful?
If you are not offered an interview, this means that you did not meet the entry requirements. If you are not successful at interview stage, you will receive a letter from us to make you aware. If you would like detailed feedback, please ring us.
Can you offer me work if I have come from overseas?
If you are eligible to work in the UK, and are able to produce this documentation.
I’ve applied before, can I reapply?
We welcome applications from previous applicants, providing you meet the entry requirements.
Do you have any training programmes?
We offer a blended learning approach, which comprises of both eLearning and class-room style training. This will provide you with the flexibility to acquire new skills that can assist toward advancing your career forward.
