Our social care commitment

Last year Accedo Group signed up to the social care commitment. This is a new initiative that asks employers to commit to certain standards of good practice and implement changes that have a positive effect on service delivery.

Making the commitment asks the organisation to commit to one statement from seven individual groups and set themselves a deadline to meet it. Once all seven statements are met the organisation can then say they have met and honoured their commitment to improving standards of social care.

Accedo are proud to confirm that we have committed and met not only one statement from each group, but 3 from groups 1, 2, 3 and 7 and 2 from groups 4, 5 and 6! We will continue to add to these during the upcoming year.

A big thank you to all who have contributed so far.

Sarah Gontsi, Senior Operations Manager

Accedo signs up to the Social Care Commitment

Accedo is pleased to announce their involvement in the new initiative to improve workforce quality in care ‘the Social Care Commitment’.

Accedo signed up on the 7th October 2014 to the commitment stating its intentions to champion good practice throughout the organisation and to show how we will involve our service uses and staff in our decision making.

The commitment requires the organisation to commit to seven areas of good practice and improvement and give a timescale for each one to be implemented. There are five statements in each section and each organisation has to commit to one statement from all seven before the full commitment can be made.

Accedo has committed to two in each section as we are confident that this is something we can achieve within out set timescales as much of it is already part of our ethos.
